Located in Berlin, Connecticut, and reporting to the Director, Information Technologies, the primary role of the IT Systems Analyst is to ensure that business processes and supporting systems continue to meet business project stakeholder needs. This position is vital to the success of the operations team to ensure seamless production with minimal to no down time. The IT Systems Analyst must be able to straddle the IT and business domains and communicate (or broker communications) between each side. This person is a hands-on worker who will drive the creation of process models (primarily conceptual/logical level models, often using business process analysis [BPA] tools) and work with others to provide the supporting process ecosystem and implementations (including screen interactions, dashboards, rule management and optimization algorithms). This position deals with the more tactical, day-to-day aspects of discovering, validating, documenting, and communicating business-process-related knowledge through modeling, simulating, and analyzing current and future states.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Defines and documents IT and business functions and processes.
  • Ensures day to day operations are running effectively and efficiently. Which includes but not limited to: Laptops, desktops, and tablets Cell phones and desk phones Honeywell/Intermec Equipment Printers and copiers Active Directory and Exchange accounts
  • Acts as a liaison between departmental end-users, technical analysts, information technology analysts, and consultants in the analysis, design, configuration, testing and maintenance of systems to ensure optimal operational performance.
  • Create and Maintain a list of all IT Hardware Equipment
  • Create and Maintain a working inventory of all IT Hardware Equipment
  • Identifies opportunities for improving business processes through information systems and/or non-system driver changes; assists in the preparation of proposals to develop new systems and/or operational changes.
  • Researches and prepares reports. Consolidates information into cohesive and understandable correspondence or other written forms for use in management decision-making.
  • Participates in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality.
  • Develops training curriculum and conducts formal training sessions covering assigned systems module.
  • Discipline to use ITSM tools for incident and service request management
  • Ensure IT security compliance via vulnerability management tools
  • Provide exceptional customer service and technical support for on-site users
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software issues on both servers and client systems.
  • Resolve issues or ensure timely escalation to appropriate support level.
  • Education:
    A bachelor's in Information Technology, Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent work experience.


  • 2 - 5 Years of IT Support Experience
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing environment a plus
  • Knowledge/Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to the business, as well as business concepts to technologists
  • Principles and practices of producing effective project documentation including business functions, business information systems, and practices
  • Strong Time management and organizational skills
  • Windows 7/10
  • Windows Server 2008/2012/2016
  • VMWare ESXi management
  • SCCM 2016
  • Working knowledge Active Directory
  • Knowledge of smartphones
  • PC and server hardware knowledge
  • Excellent customer service skills - ability to interact with all levels in a courteous, helpful and professional manner
  • Unquestionable ethics with proven ability to deal with a high level of confidentiality
  • Must be highly motivated with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and exhibit a strong sense of urgency
  • Must be available to work weekends and off hours occasionally
  • A+ certification is a plus
