We strive to build meaningful careers at a company whose values we share because when we live up to our potential, we help others live up to theirs._ **Position Summary:** The Manager, Pricing & Contracts is responsible for contracting strategies across Horizon's portfolio, including contract administration and management, analysis and reporting for Key Accounts. This individual will be responsible for collaborating cross-functionally with Managed Care, Trade, Legal, Finance and Brand teams on offer/contract review, operational strategy and dispute resolution, driving the effectiveness of the Managed Care field function across multiple therapeutic areas and customer segments. This individual will be expected to assist with projects and ad hoc requests as necessary. **Responsibilities:** + Ownership over Managed Care contracting strategy, analysis and reporting for Key Accounts. + Maintain understanding of contracting strategies in each customer segment; build strong working relationships with business partners in each segment; develop familiarity with key contracts in each segment and liaise with Managed Care to oversee rebate agreements. + Assist Trade with contracting of GPO and Distribution Service Agreements. + Track post-deal account level performance, conduct variance analysis, and assess ROI using customer and secondary data sources. + Prepare monthly Gross-to-net accrual recommendations for Horizon products and monitor/publish reports concerning managed care contract performance and operations compared to forecast and GTN accruals; assure financial viability of contracts through financial analysis in conjunction with FP&A, contract negotiations and issue resolution. + Gather data from multiple sources (e.g., customer rebates, chargebacks, IQVIA and Precision data, etc.) and update existing analysis tools and core data. + Strengthen the execution of pricing and contracting strategies by testing, refining, and suggesting methods to optimize contracting models and methodologies. + Maintain key understanding of Payer landscape. + Develop, refine and own financial models to support contracting decisions, including modeling and analysis of innovative contracts. + Exhibit confidence and an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business problems; push creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry practices. + Demonstrate strong ability to work in a team environment and foster cross-team collaboration; create strong morale through fostering open dialogue and collaborative atmosphere. + Partner with Managed Care field team to identify ideal contracting options and alternative contracting options. + Analyze and make recommendations regarding the continuation/termination of existing contracts based on profitability and contract performance. + Complete special projects and other duties as assigned. + Potential to manage and develop direct reports. **Qualifications and Skills Required:** + Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Finance, Business, Statistics, or related field. MBA Preferred or equivalent relevant experience. + 5+ Years of demonstrated success in analysis and modeling, with preferred minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical experience in Managed Care or Market Research. + Proven success in developing, implementing and interpreting advanced analytical models in a commercial setting. + Comprehensive understanding of complex data sources and the ability to leverage data in complex analytical models, including a comprehensive understanding of anonymous patient-level data and claims data. + Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to apply analysis to strategic evaluations of contracting strategy and pricing decisions. + Must be able to identify potential problems, conduct analysis and use judgment to determine if problem exists. + Excellent communication skills with the ability to consolidate complex concepts or calculations into meaningful internal dashboards and communications for sales, marketing, trade and senior management. + Proficient in Microsoft Office; super-user with Excel and PowerPoint. + Strong interpersonal skills. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. **Horizon Core Values & Competencies:** _Growth_ + Manages Ambiguity + Strategic Mindset + Demonstrates Self-awareness + Cultivates Innovation + Develops Talent _Accountability_ + Drives Results + Ensures Accountability + Decision Quality _Transparency_ + Courage + Collaboration + Instills Trust _Horizon Therapeutics plc does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
