Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group has an opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to fill the Director of Heart Failure Services opportunity at the Hoffman Heart and Vascular Institute, part of Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut. This is an exceptional opportunity for the selected candidate to demonstrate leadership skills and expertise in overseeing a busy, successful inpatient and outpatient Heart Failure Service, and in consolidating programs to implement outstanding heart failure care across the entire spectrum of the disease. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work with an outstanding Heart Failure team and a multidisciplinary team of Electrophysiologists, Interventional Cardiologists, Heart Valve experts, Cardiothoracic Surgeons, Non-Invasive Cardiologists, and a state of the art Echocardiography Lab. The selected candidate will practice as a full-time member of the Cardiology group in one of New Englands highest-volume cardiovascular institutes. The Heart Failure Service at Saint Francis Hospital oversees a dedicated 28 beds inpatient Heart Failure Unit and outpatient care of more than 1,000 Heart Failure patients in the community. It is staffed by ABIM Certified Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologists, Heart Failure Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners, and Heart Failure trained inpatient and outpatient Registered Nurses. The service has an official collaboration with Yale New Haven for LVAD and Heart Transplant therapies for Advanced Heart Failure patients. Board Certified and Board Eligible candidates with experience or interest in Advanced Heart Failure are welcome to apply for this opportunity. Interest in the heart failure population health and cardiopulmonary exercise stress testing are also welcome.
